Pete McDonough has been playing, studying and writing about American roots music and the rich tradition of acoustic fingerstyle blues for more than 50 years.  His performances include a variety of music styles ranging from folk to blues and a mishmash of tunes he has learned, written or otherwise accumulated over the years.

Pete wrote the biographies of 25 classic American blues artists published in the Complete Acoustic Guitar Blues Method by Woody Mann and he participated in the production of the award-winning documentary Harlem Street Singer, the life and music of the iconic Rev. Gary Davis.
